Terms of Service

Welcome to SteadyQuest. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SteadyQuest mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using SteadyQuest, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using SteadyQuest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use SteadyQuest. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Update your information to keep it accurate and current
• Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not create multiple accounts or impersonate others

4. User Content & Conduct

Content License

By posting content on SteadyQuest (such as encouragement messages, profile information, or shared results), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or offensive
• Promote eating disorders or unhealthy fasting practices
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Upload viruses or malicious code
• Use automated systems (bots) to access the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Collect or harvest information about other users
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission

Content Reporting

Users can report inappropriate content or behavior. Submitting false reports may result in account suspension or termination.

5. Social Features

Friend Connections

• Maximum of 100 friend connections per account
• Friend requests automatically disabled when limit is reached
• You may remove friends or decline requests at any time

Privacy Controls

• Control your search visibility and discoverability
• Block users without notification to them
• Manage who can send you friend requests

Quests

• You may create or join fasting quests with other users
• Quest creators can manage quest membership
• All quest participants see real-time progress updates
• You may leave a quest at any time

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Mutant Teapot and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our express written permission.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

If SteadyQuest offers paid subscriptions or in-app purchases, the following applies:

• Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Billing and refunds are handled according to the respective platform's policies
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Cancelling a subscription stops future charges but does not refund previous payments
• Free trials (if offered) automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms or our policies
• Harms or poses a risk to other users
• Exposes us or other users to legal liability
• Is fraudulent or illegal

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of information
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

We do not warrant that the Service is appropriate or safe for your particular health needs. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MUTANT TEAPOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any health issues or injuries resulting from fasting activities
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Statements or conduct of any third party on the Service
• Any other matter relating to the Service

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mutant Teapot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
